Connecting Groups are where church becomes family. In smaller circles, we grow in faith through the Word, prayer, fellowship, and service. Discover how living in community helps us follow Jesus with deeper devotion and purpose.

First Evangelical Free Church is a Gospel-centred community shaped by devotion to God, His Word, and the fellowship of believers, with the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ.

WHY CONNECTING GROUPS?

  • More than meetings—they are a place to belong.
  • The soil where discipleship grows.
  • Where the “one another” commands come alive.
  • Modelled after Acts 2:42–47: teaching, fellowship, meals, and prayer.

  • Every group practices three gospel habits:
  • Spiritual Engagement: Word and Prayer
  • Relational Intentionality: Meals and Conversations that matters
  • Missional Focus: Blessing, Inviting, Serving
  • And five simple rhythms:
  • Gather
  • Eat
  • Listen & Encourage each other
  • Bless each other and the community
  • Celebrate God’s work

  • Weekly or biweekly gatherings in homes or at church.
  • Options for young adults, young couples, parents, mixed adults, and seniors
  • Groups stay small—6 to 12 adults—for genuine connection
